November 13
So, this happened: the hard drive on my laptop crashed.
But before that, this happened: my Time Capsule had also crashed and because I am just the tiniest bit paranoid, I replaced it right away.
But before THAT, this happened: I purchased Apple Care for my laptop.
So nothing was lost and the new hard drive was replaced free.
But: the laptop is still working on restoring itself and I want to get this blog posted and get on with things.
So, here’s something different from my usual posts. This was shot with my iPhone, and edited with a couple of apps – Dramatic B&W and PicFX.

Peeling paint tells me
we all need to be rescued

Rescue seems like a theme word for the day. Rescued images. Rescued computer. Rescued post-a-day. Glad to hear your paranoia paid off. I am not as paranoid as you, and should be. I need a remote storage area so if, for instance, my computer and hard drive which sites next to it are stolen all is not lost. I know, foolish of me. I should embark on a mission to deal with it.
I like the old print feel of this image – it feels just like something I might have taken with my brownie at the age of 8 (except a better image).

I am either a complete genius or completely oblivious (tending toward the latter, though…): I never even thought about the “rescue” theme. I just saw the picture on my iPad, liked it, an went with it.
My laptop was stolen three years ago, and having it backed up on an external hard drive saved me from a devastating loss. Hence the paranoia.

One learns the hardway, eh? I have no laptop, and have never been burgled either. First time for everything and it would be devastating to lose all this is on this computer. Maybe I should look into another backup system.
