I’ve seen examples of this so many times in Switzerland and every time I think: how the heck does that tree grow there.

It sure doesn’t take much earth for a tree to have enough. Of course, trees like that spell doom for the cliff, as the roots eventually cause the rock to break apart. There’s probably a moral in that story somewhere….

I think you captured some of it – but it does look like the kind of place that warrants a bunch of photos, taken in different conditions.

I know – it’s not possible to replicate the trip because it’s on private land. And also I’m not very sure about where we were, exactly. Brett was driving, so I wasn’t paying attention to where he turned and etc.
