Red, as an accent color
Wait, what did I do here? Did I mean to post a color image?
Yes.
But only because I like the way those spots of red flow through the image, from the steps to the bands by the doorway, to the bench, to the boat to the quilt. And even to that dot of red on the sidewalk.
Nicely done, red things. Nicely done.

Nice image! I like color when it’s used in almost monochromatic manners.

Thanks, Mark. I like color, sparingly.

I shot strictly b&w film for many years. Only starting shooting color 5 years ago. After I put work in a few local shows, my daughter looked at my work and proclaimed, “I really like your new color work. It’s like your b&w work, only with color!” I thought the comment was really insightful!

I’m in the early stages of a photography project that seems to want to be in color…that’s coming as a bit of surprise to me! So, we’ll see where THAT goes.
I agree – your daughter’s comment was very insightful.

Nice! I like the soft light and muted colors a lot!

Thanks – that kind of light is a lot different than what I’m used to. Maybe that’s why this project wants to be in color, now that I think about it.
