Standing Guard
We took a trip to Dallas to look at a park.
That’s not odd, is it?
(Never mind. I know it’s weird. Embrace the weirdness, I say!)
At the park, we saw a tight row of bollards, designed to keep kids inside the playground.

‘Bollards’! Love it! Thanks, Melinda. Too expensive for fences, how will I use it in a sentence.

You could always go for “Fancy words is a load of bollards”… ? (See, Melinda? I crack myself up too) 🙂

Now that I think about it, “bollards” is a good substitute for “those” words I don’t need to say around my granddaughters…

Sounds a very reasonable reason for wanting to visit a place – I’ve travelled for far more trivial reasons than that as you know!

There’s also traveling for no particular reason at all. That’s the best kind of travel!

Beautifully done in its simplicity!

Thank you, Mark. That day we went to the park was too cold to be outside very long, so most of my images were shot in haste; this was one of the very few that I liked.
