I have (unfortunately, maybe) geographic and rural economies on my side: there are lots of towns like this around here.

Thanks, Richard. I used to go through this town on my way to/from college. Then it got a bypass, so no one goes through it anymore. I decided to get off the main highway to see what was going on since the last time I’d been there (1978, but who’s counting). If I’d waited a few more years, I don’t think there would have been anything to see!
