For sure. Great find, I would love to prowl around that place.

There’s no telling how much cool stuff they’ve got. We didn’t stop, unfortunately, because we’d already made ~467 stops that day for photos and were trying (eventually) get somewhere specific.

As we in the UK would say: ‘everything bu the kitchen sink’, but there are probably quite a few of those there too. It might take quite a while to find anything specific in there and then a map to exit the building.

This probably the kind of place where a shopping list won’t do you any good. But you’re right, I think, that a map to get out is critical!

This is a place where (a) there’s no need to go around back and (b) you really have to return, and go around back. There has to be photographic dynamite out back. And a stack of kitchen sinks.

So, the next time you come to Lubbock, we can just make a quick trip to Matheson – it’s less than 500 miles away, so it’d be a quick trip. Except for the part about stopping every 15 seconds….

Next time you come to Victoria, we can make a quick trip to Matheson Inlet http://wp.me/p1R4lY-7OB – its also less than 500 miles away, but requires planes and boats, as well as stopping every 15 seconds or so.

I guess if we’re traveling in planes, we’ll probably have to go more than 15 seconds between stops? Can we do that?! (Nice shot at the link, BTW.)

Um, we could take a helicopter. But there is a long stretch over the ocean, so stopping might be hovering over the waves, or a whale if we are lucky. We could sail, and just tack every 15 seconds, which would be slow, and very annoying after just a few minutes. But we could.

I’m sort of already bored thinking of tacking every 15 seconds. Maybe we should expedite the over-water part of the trip and used the saved-up time when we are on land.

Great idea. Matheson Inlet has lots to look at. In fact, while in there last summer I found two new archaeological sites even though it had been inventoried several times (including by myself in 1992).
