Art and the sofa
This is in my favorite hotel room (that’s not odd, is it, to have a favorite hotel room?). And I can’t wait to get back down there…

I feel a nap coming on. Haven’t been in any enough hotel rooms to have a favorite. Nice find.

I’ve stayed in this same room 3 or 4 times. It’s the only room with a balcony, which is how I was able to get this shot: https://melindagreenharvey.com/2014/11/23/shooting-alpine-photo-contest/. So you can see why I’m partial to this room!

I seem to remember stopping in Alpine many years ago. The family was on our way to California to visit relatives and if I’m not mistaken, the motel we stayed in was remarkable for having an indoor swimming pool in thr lobby. I wonder if I’m right in my recollection, and if it’s still there.

There’s not an indoor pool here now, but that’s not to say there never was one!
Alpine is my favorite place in Texas!

Good way to rate hotel rooms by the quality of the wall hangings. I wonder what this looks like in colour?

I like those colours, Melinda. They go well with the sofa too.

It is a nice combination. The colors, and the textures of the buttes and mesas, is fairly true to the way the region actually looks.
