Cab ride, in the rain
On the cab ride to the airport the other day, I realized that I’ve had lots of missed opportunities to take photos from back seats of cabs over the years. It just never occurred to me.
Maybe you wish I hadn’t thought about this time either…

Maybe we’re jealous because we didn’t think of it. Maybe we wish you keep photographing.

Oh, you’re always so nice! I can’t imagine NOT photographing, so I feel like you’ll get your wish.

It’s like a rolling moving set. You might as well get added value from the meter adding up all those $$.

You paid the cab fare, so maybe you get to own this photo?

I just saw the cab fare on the credit card statement – in Canadian dollars it seems more like I paid a plane fare. To Australia. Good thing you paid the other cab fare or I would be remortgaging the house and not going on another workshop till my hair was all white.

It would have probably been cheaper to rent a car, since we DID get a parking space at the apartment. But that would have meant driving in LA traffic, so those cab fares may have been a better bargain than it seemed.

They were a very good bargain considering the traffic and the need for navigator. Whoever was navigating couldn’t take pictures at the same time, and probably would not even think of it. So, we did the right thing and this thread can be taken as a bucket of cold water applied to the smoking hole in my credit card.

Tanya was a good driver – we should just hire her next time.

Indeed. What a splendid idea. We could have another tour of sites unseen.

I sure we didn’t yet see anywhere near all the stuff there is to not see!

LA is a big place, so I am sure you are right. But that weather might be pretty hard to dial up on command for unseen part.
