Neon-less Neon
Here’s another image of a neon sign, which obviously is in need of some attention. It was on the same amazing tour that I mentioned in this post.

I saw some ruins of neon a few years ago in Warsaw….

I really have gotten a new appreciation for it since that tour. Yesterday, in fact, I was driving though a town in South Texas on my way to a conference and went around the block to get back to a dead neon sign beside the street. It may become my new thing…

Thank you, Paula. The neon tour was the best part of my time in San Francisco because we got to look at raggedy stuff, my favorite thing to look at and photograph. Which you already know, I’m pretty sure!

I love this shot – you have found the perfect angle – surface pattern and texture is perfect for monochrome too 😊

Thanks! The angle was the one I had to get to block out the sun which otherwise was shining right in my face.
