Font (many blessings)
The interior of the church, with the font first, and murals on the far wall. It was very nice to be the only person in there, and not just from a photographic, will-you-people-get-out-of-my-way situation. It was quiet and calm, and calming (because those are two different things).

Beautiful image, with a lot of depth and interest. Good control of exposure gives an extra impact. Like it very much Melinda.

Thank you, David. That mural on the back wall was so nice, and so nicely lit, which boosted what I was able to do with the photograph.

Another form of distant horizon. Beautifully done. Calm and calming indeed.

I never thought about the “distant horizon” angle here – thanks for reminding me.

Technically, it may have to do with your selection of depth of field, but philosophically it’s a matter of expansion or contraction of one’s personal viewpoint.

I meant to say quote me. Damn error correction.

Ha! That’s what I thought. I agree re. error correction, too, which for some reason creates way more errors than it ever fixes.

I should tell you about what Siri did to the expression bucket list when I was communicating for the first time to photographer I very much respected.

I’m sure you can. Fortunately we had a good laugh over it.

We did. Later we went with him to New Zealand. Look up Gary Hart Eloquent Images.

Indeed, they are two different emotions. Lovely shot with such beautiful light, just where it matters.

Thank you, Paula. There is something magical about the light inside these old churches that I am drawn to…
