Hooper
The helmet caught my eye – and it would have caught yours, too, I think – as it’s not a typical thing to spot in a cemetery.
Much sadness: Nathan Hooper was 27 years old when he died and had only been married about a year and a half; his safety helmet seems ironic.

Was he a power-line worker?

I think so. My friend Al, who often volunteers his services as my Research Department, just sent me this link: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/77802180/nathan-daniel-hooper

Job-related accident. 28. Not fair.

I know. And he was in Georgia, not home in Texas where his people were.

Awful. Some California firefighters were killed in Australia. Can’t imagine what that must of been like for them, and their families.

I know. I can easily get myself very sad thinking about how families are impacted by tragedies like this.

Reminiscent of soldiers’ battlefield graves. That must have been part of his lineman’s outfit or maybe what he was wearing at the time of an accident. Appears to be a family plot with his wife and a child?

Yes, I’m pretty sure that was his helmet from his job.
And, yes – it is a family plot. His wife’s information is on the other side of the marker. It was a very sad scene.
