Absolutely gorgeous! I’m a storm spotter in Central Texas, and I love these ‘big sky’ images…
There is nothing that competes with the amazing sense of awe that comes with this territory; to see the sky roiling above you, like an ocean, and to hear the wind before you feel it –
magnificent.

Yes! To all of those things you said!
I’ve spent almost all my life on the Plains, and feel unsettled when I have to spend much time someplace where I can’t see the horizon. And the storms!

Also – what part of Central Texas are you in?

East of Waco! I have some awesome views here – I can core-punch from my back porch!

That’s awesome. But also – be careful!
I went to A&M; the first time I saw mammatus clouds was on campus one Saturday afternoon. I’ll never forget it.

That is a scary looking approaching storm. Run for cover.

It wasn’t as scary as it looked, unfortunately. I’m in the mood for some dramatic, stormy weather. Without tornadoes, though….

Yep. Thunderstorms…without the high octane inline rip winds and golf ball sized hail…are enjoyable enough either indoors or out.
