Sky Hook
I used to know a structural engineer who was a nice enough fellow, but he had sort of a bias against architects: he was convinced that none of them understood just HOW structures stood up. He often said they relied on “sky hooks” to hold up their designs. Of course, “sky hooks” aren’t even a real thing…
…or are they? Because this looks exactly like a hook, hanging from the sky. And that makes it a sky hook, right?
