After World War II, the Church of St. Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury was relocated from London to the grounds of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. It is now part of the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library.
For you famous-speech fans out there, Westminster College was the site of Churchill’s famous “iron curtain” speech in 1946.
And, for you pieces-of-the-Berlin-Wall fans, Churchill’s granddaughter Edwyna Sandy’s sculpture “Breakthrough” is on the grounds of the museum; the sculpture is constructed from eight sections of the Berlin Wall.
