Illuminance: photographic works
The Buddy Holly Center has an annual juried show, Illuminance: photographic works. This year’s theme was “experiencing place”; part of the call for entries said “Can you create an image that is emotional, atmospheric, that conveys your feelings about this special place?”
My photograph from Los Angeles, titled “Not One of Them Real” was accepted into the show, which will run from June 25 through August 10.
Anyway, if you’re in Lubbock, stop by and take a look.
Oh, and without getting too sappy or anything, thanks to all of you for following this blog, and for taking time to click “like” or to post comments. It matters.

Congratulations Melinda. This is a great shot and it must be wonderful to be accepted into a show like that.
I can’t imagine how much of a perfectionist the person is that hung the upper row of torsos. They had to have used a straight edge on the bottom just to be sure.

The torsos ARE pretty level, aren’t they? They are outside, too, so I wonder if they get taken inside at night. That would make the job of torso-hanger almost never-ending.
And, thanks – I am very happy to have a photo selected for the show.
