Some News

I am happy to report that this photo was just awarded third place at a photography show here in Lubbock. The show, High and Dry: a Photographic Exhibition of People and Places of the World’s Dry Lands, is sponsored by Office of International Affairs at Texas Tech University.

In a bit of an embarrassment-of-riches situation, I also had three other images juried into the show:

A couple of things:
1. Yes, that show does, in fact, have the longest title of any photo show ever.
2. Evidently September 1, 2019, was a good day for me to be out with my camera: two images made that day were accepted into the show.
3. I admit to having a bit of a photographic crush on the entire state of New Mexico.
3. Thanks to everyone who follows this blog! Your continued interest in my work keeps me out there making more and more images.

  1. Congratulations! Very nice work. Smart jury. And it’s great to know someone who both photographs and hyphenates well.

  4. Excellent news. Congratulations. .I think we’d all like to experience some of your embarrassment. 🙂 Glad to be visiting and supporting your posts. It’s always rewarding to hear from our peers when we share our work. We shoot what we love and that’s why we’re out there but it is nice to get validation from our blogger friends.
