Or if my version of “blue” is the same as yours…

Thanks, Lisa. It’s sort of a departure from the usual run-down buildings, isn’t it?

I like this image and the idea. Are both the B&W and Color from the same exposure? If so why does the line on the road disappear in the color image? Or maybe these were taken at different times/seasons?

Both images are from the same original shot, and I don’t know where that white line disappeared to. It kind of bothers me that it’s not there, but I decided to think its disappearance is part of the mystery!

I’ve never seen this done before – but I really like it, it’s so imaginative and clever. Well done, Melinda.

Thanks, Andy. When I read your post about style last week, this post was already in the queue – and it made me stop and think about what I was doing here. I had a bit of a debate with myself about it; you can see which side won. I appreciated that what you wrote made me think a little more than I usually do!

Well, thanks you for that, Melinda. You must try this more often.

I am pretty sure I will be working on a new series of photos called Scene (not seen). Now that I’ve taken a deep breath and posted the first one, I feel brave enough to continue!

Bravo to that. I like the way you use ‘Scene’ too. It has a particular connotation for us as Photographers

Many human disciplines have pondered that questions for millennia, you now have given it an image.

I really like this Melinda. I have looked at it several times now and keep on seeing (sceeing?) new things, and new possibilities too. Good thing my post production skills are narrow or I might steal this idea 🙂
I like it that the white line has gone missing. It suggests this would work well with similar images from different places. Or for things that we just wish coexisted like this.

Ha! Ha! “Sceeing” What a great new word. I can see a second career for you, making up new words. First “fliptych” and now “sceeing.”
Don’t be surprised if you “scee” more of these kinds of shots on the blog…..
