Lubbock Studio Tour 2014
If any of you have plans to be in Lubbock next weekend (and, really, where else would you want to be?) you might want to take in the Lubbock Studio Tour, which will feature about 50 local artists. This is my first year to participate, and my house is one of the host studios.
On my way home from the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops a few months ago, I was thinking back on the (grueling) week. I had a strong sense that something was about to happen, that some kind of important opportunity was close at hand. My very next thought was, “I hope I am smart enough to recognize it when it shows up.” Not even 24 hours later, an artist friend contacted me – she wanted to know if I’d be interested in being considered as a host studio for this event. Opportunity? Yes, it was…
Anyway, stop by if you can. In addition to art (I will be joined by three other local artists), we’ll have wine. And snacks.

I wish i had known sooner about the wine and snacks.
I hope it went well. Texas is kind of far to come. But after tasting Texan wine it would have been worth it just for that. Not to mention the art.

The weekend did go well – and I even sold some stuff! It might be easier if your Texas wine person just brought some more wine to you. Maybe this spring?

That would be a great deal easier. We can do a swap, there are some excellent BC wines. We could try some, and choose something to head south when that Texas wine person visits. Spring seems quite far away, but I suppose I can survive 🙂

Maybe the wine person will remember the tea drinker in the household too – tea-totaler I guess one could call her.

Certainly the wine person can do that. (I don’t think she’ll mind if I speak for her.) Would the tea-totaler (Ha! Ha!) like any changes from the previous delivery?

The tea-totaler particularly liked the Sweet Texas Dreams, and notes that something very similar to the Texas delight can be purchased here ….
