The assignment for that day’s shooting was people. People?! That’s just not my deal.
Implied people, maybe? And what better implies people than a forgotten rubber band in a square of sunlight?

Fine find. Btw, why do we want to access the roof ? But then, I’m afraid of heights.

That is an excellent question, and I can’t answer it. I’m not a fan of heights, either, so I was OK with passing up an opportunity to access the roof…
