January 15
While my husband was at bagpipe class* this afternoon, I treated myself to a photo walk in downtown.
Finding any one of the things in this shot would have been fun, but to spot
1. A broken window repaired with an N from a city council campaign sign**;
2. A pair of very white shoes hanging from a power line;
3. That also featured a partly unraveled slinky
was almost beyond belief.
Lubbock, Texas
*Bagpipe classes? Yes. Really. There’s no way I, even with my active imagination, could make that up.

Nice combo of elements. Even so, I think the top half of the photo on its own with just a bit of the wall showing would be a very cool shot too.

Good observation – it would make the slinky and the shoes more prominent.
