March 6
Remember the Mt. Zion Baptist Church from March 3? Out in back, I found the remnants of last summer’s garden, including this giant, mummified okra.

Dried up okra pods were just about the last thing I expected to see behind a little country church. I think whoever tended the garden over the summer had gotten weary of okra, and just left them on the plant – the pods were at least 7″ long!
