On the south side of town, there’s private roping arena.

What on earth does that even mean? According to the dictionary, roping is a rodeo event that involves capturing cattle or horses with a rope and binding their feet.

If you want your own private roping arena, Red River Arenas has a few questions you might want to ask yourself:

* Are you planning to host any events in your arena?

  2. Maybe you can find the answer to your questions in their website’s Roping [for] Dummies section. Interesting sign – if something is genuinely an accident, is anyone responsible?

    • That IS an interesting question – perhaps I will bring it up with the risk manager at work. Only, it might make his head explode. And then we’d have to figure out if head-explosions caused by wise-ass bloggers are accidental.

      • Well, they DO have a Roping Dummies section on their website. And, in a non-litigious society accidents are just accidents, not suits waiting for court action. And risk managers probably think less about lawyers and more about the person’s at risk of injury. That doesn’t mean that wise-ass bloggers are any more welcome though:)

      • I’ve heard of “non-litigious societies” but assumed they were just legends. Like Atlantis. Or mermaids.
