Rust, and some other things
This is a detail of some farm equipment that sits along the highway in the tiny town (population: 8) of Hart Camp, Texas.
This part is confusing – lately I’ve posted a couple of photos (here and here) from Hart, Texas, but Hart and Hart Camp are two different places. It doesn’t help that they are on the same road – Farm Road 168. If you are on FM 168 heading north, you’ll go through Spade, Hart Camp, Olton, and then Hart.
Oh, and when you go through Olton, watch the school zone. It’s a lot longer than you think it’ll be. Never mind how I found that out.

This is a really disorienting shot. That curved bit on the left looks like the nose of a tank, but the larger version of the photo makes it looks like a painted area. So, it’s not a propane tank, or nose of an air-plane.
Great colours you pulled out for our delectation!

As you can tell, it’s been a few years since I took this shot; I don’t really remember what all this stuff was.
Also, “delectation” is quite possibly the best word I will hear (or, read) today.

Thank you, Anisja. I am always interested to see all the different colors in rusty things, and this stuff certainly provided a lot of color to look at!

You are as skilled with color as with black and white. This picture is superb. Surely one of your masterpieces. v.

I never say something ‘just to be nice’…..I believe that RUST is a great shot.
My personal opinion of course, but I do have some art training. And I simply enjoy the sensuous effect of those colors. Keep snapping.

It can get confusing. We have Bloomfield, East Bloomfield and West Bloomfield. Some folks claim to be from North Bloomfield, but I haven’t found that on the map.
Great shot and a nice departure for you.

When I lived in the UK, it was taken to extremes in some places due to the layers of history. I lived in Hampton, and also Hampton Wick, but not Ham which was nearby as well. Ham = town (as in Hamlet), Ton = town and wick = town (in Saxon I think). So Hampton Wick could be read as TownTown Town.

So, I guess you win this round, with your TownTown Town. Sorry Ken – better luck next time.

Maybe North Bloomfield is so exclusive that it just doesn’t need to b on a map?
