The night divers
The water’s so clear that the lights from the nighttime scuba divers were rendered as a cool phosphorescent glow. I was hoping for more of this effect, but that didn’t really work out.
That’s the difference between clear and murky waters.

The scuba lights are enough to add a bit of extra interest to an already excellent photo.

Thanks! I think that turquoise from the middle group of divers’ lights is my new favorite color.

That’s Very cool Melinda! Those colours are beautiful. I love the wispy sky from the long exposure.

Thanks, Karen – this wasn’t quite the shot I’d wanted, but it was the shot I was able to get. And I am very fond of that turquoise color in the water, from the divers’ lights.

The colors are a lot prettier in Fiji compared to La Jolla, that’s true. But I really like the wavy lines of light in that shot from La Jolla….

I like this one better than the La Jolla one too. The deep deep blue and the turquoise lights are wonderful, and the sky. What a mood you have created. It reminds me of some late nights along ocean edges in remote places.

The nights in Fiji were the best part of the trip for me – the star-filled skies and the ocean.
