Cadillac Ranch, 2
A continuation of yesterday’s post about the Cadillac Ranch, this shot features the tail fin of one of the cars. On parts of the cars that are easy for spray-painters to reach, the layers of paint is several inches thick. And almost everywhere the paint has dripped and bubbled, something which would have never occurred on these cars when they were new.

Abstract Art (plus spray paint). A great combination.

The paint is actually several inches thick in places – we found several hunks of paint on the ground and could see the layers of different colored paint in them, which is also abstract art. I brought some of those paint hunks home with me, thinking I’d photograph them one of these days…

It looks like it was applied with a trowel or something. A long term timelapse of one of these cars seems in order to me.
