The verticals
Mostly the landscape in this part of Texas is horizontal, with long, broad horizons. So it was an interesting change to find this nice vertical element right there in downtown Marfa.

One Day | One Image 
There is movement in this image. Nice! Only the standing dry weed reminds me of your other static images. ( is it the top of a century plant past its bloom? it does not look like it. )

Thanks, Vera. I don’t know what this plant is; I don’t think it is a century plant – the leaves and the stalk are more delicate than the century plants I am familiar with. But it must be related.
