I haven’t seen a metal can like this since I was a kid. Nice find. 🙂

Thanks, Laura! I saw another set of them a few miles away in Dana Point. There’s a pretty good chance that I photographed those as well….

Perfect! The cans remind me of those airstreams I took and posted. Classic cans both upright and on wheels. 😀

I love classic Airstreams! A few years ago, I got the idea that we should buy a vintage one, to park out at some land we’ve got and use it as a weekend place. I was shocked at how much they cost!
And, we STILL don’t have a place to stay out there….

Even among metal garbage cans at a dumping place there are the haves and the have-nots – what is the world coming to?
A hawk’s eye camera you have, Melinda!

Thanks, Vera! You know how sometimes you just get in the zone, and everything looks like a photograph? That’s what happened when I was in California – it was a great trip!

Thanks, Mark. During this short trip to California, I photographed metal trash cans at two different beaches. It seems perfectly normal to me, but I have the idea that maybe not everyone would understand why I’d travel all the way from Texas to the Pacific to shoot trash cans….

Surely the reason for banishment was dirty trash talking? Some cans just don’t have a sense of decorum, even decorative ones like these.

That probably was the problem. I didn’t hear anything inappropriate coming from the cans, so maybe they’ve learned their lesson.
