Slaton doors
A detail of this place, five months and one day later. Nothing had changed. But I felt better knowing that.

I like this one. I also like the earlier one with all that pavement. Funny how one doesn’t even notice the grassy bit in the first shot.
Why would anyone want to upholster their furn.(ace)?

Upholstering furnaces is a tradition down here in Texas. It’s so hot for so much of the year that the furnaces are unused. They tend to gather dust, which then blows full-force into our houses the first time we turn the heat on in the fall, giving the house an unpleasant smell of burnt dirt. BUT: if the furnaces are upholstered the fabric catches the dust. Then, when that first cold front hits, we take the upholstery off the furnace, crank up the heat, and have odor-free warmth. It’s an amazing solution to a pesky problem.
Or, maybe it’s an abbreviation for “furniture.”

Oh, maybe it is! Why didn’t I think of that?

I think it might be because – and don’t take this wrong way! – you are from Canada?
