What happened here?

040113

Two things, really.

First of all, it seemed like if the very reason I made a u-turn across a highway to take a picture was because this old place had a red desk in front of it, then I just had to post it in color.

And, that it happened to fall on April Fool’s day was just a happy coincidence.

But please don’t worry: back to b&w tomorrow. And sorry if I startled you.

  1. Let’s just chalk this up to temporary insanity and leave it at that.
But it is a great photo.

    • That sounds like a good plan, but it does make me wonder how long one can get away with pleading “temporary” insanity? (I am not asking for myself, you understand, but for my…uh…friend. Yes, that’s it: for a friend.)

      Glad you like the photo!

  2. That red desk wouldn’t like to be in a b/w image. I’m sure. I love this image.

  3. I have only one complaint about this picture, I think you should have turned that stop sign around for the shot. Otherwise, it works really well. Fooling us with colour is just fine.

    • That is an excellent suggestion about the stop sign, and the next time I am in Marathon, I will do that. Just for you. I don’t imagine it’s against any laws or regulations or anything, as long as it’s done for either photographic reasons OR fraternity pranks.
