The only light there was
This back of this closed-down gas station in the industrial part of town absorbed all the light that day.
On a side note, there’s a lot more traffic in that part of town than I expected. And, judging from the stares I got from truck drivers, not many photographers show up over there. I don’t know why: it’s only a few blocks from where I found this place a few months ago.

The contrast between the gas station and the background is very dramatic. Very well done.

Thank you, Ken. The front of this place was pretty boring, so I was glad I walked around to see what things looked like on the other side. The clouds were accommodating that morning, too, I think.

Thanks! And I’d like to take this opportunity to point out that I used a tripod for this shot.
