High and Dry show at Texas Tech University
I am honored announce that this photo has been selected in the annual High and Dry show at Texas Tech University.
This year’s juror was David Michael Kennedy. Go have a look at his website – every single image is wonderful.
The show’s opening reception will be on Friday evening, December 6, at the International Cultural Center. Stop by, if you’re in the neighborhood. And if you’re not in the neighborhood, there’s plenty of time to plan a trip….

I like his Toilet for Sale shot, taken in Lubbock, no, wait – in Lubec.
Congratulations on being selected, wonderful thing to have happen!

Thanks! Do you think submitting a photo of a toilet was pandering to the juror at all?!??

That had not occured to me. Given he takes a lot of other kinds of photos than toilets, I think you won’t be accused.

I think he chose it because he liked the joke of a photo of a non-functioning toilet in a show called High and Dry.

Thanks – it’s been one of my favorites for a while. (It’s also further proof that I will take a photo of damn near anything….)

I remember this image from before: I liked it then and I like it now.

Thanks. Until I had to take it down for the show, I has this hanging in my office. The photo was taken on the vacant upper floor of a building where the agency I work has office space. There’s a long-held belief that this building is haunted..
