Thank you. I was hoping for a chair for what seems to be a long time.
This is like a chair I had years ago. My then car, Sam, sharpened his claws on it daily. He loved it as much as I did!

If you like this, just wait a couple of days: I’ve got a post lined up that features a sidewalk sofa!
It looks as though Sam and this chair might possibly have met during one of Sam’s nine lives….

Just a little past it’s sell by date! parked in a shady place – very convenient.

The chair has a good spot – it faces south, so when the sun’s low in the winter, it can get warm. The rest of the year, it’s nice and shady.
And, yes – that sell-by date is long gone!

I am pretty sure I wouldn’t want to sit in that chair! But it did make a nice subject for a photo; glad you liked it.

I wonder if it is mandatory for all members of the Texas Farm Bureau to have a chair out front, for the use of farmers and their families. It might explain all the chairs you bring to us.

That may be the explanation for all the chairs (and a sofa: check back tomorrow). This particular chair looks as though maybe a hungry horse nibbled at it a bit.
On a completely unrelated note, I did want to point out that in approximately 1973, my friend Gail was named Farm Bureau Queen for Crosby County. And you thought I didn’t know any royals!

Well that might explain this luxurious chair (as compared to hard plastic ones) which is more throne like than the others.

Everyone knows THIS chair is reserved for Farm Bureau Queens (current/past). Don’t even THINK about sitting there unless you’ve got a crown and/or a sash to prove your eligibility!
