The flowers won’t last
Are you bored with your usual shooting locations? Then you might want to head over to a garden center. It might be just the change of scenery you need.
I was at the Antique Rose Emporium the other day, and while my companions looked at plants, I took a few photos, including this one of (some sort of) flower on a wooden bench.
It was a nice break from what I usually shoot, though observant readers will notice right away that this is a doomed flower. Which makes it not all that different from my usual photos of doomed towns. But still…

Thanks, Lisa. I was shooting on a cloudy day (we don’t have many of those where I live – I was away from home) and it was a nice change have soft light instead of my usual hard shadows!

Lisa is right, this is beautiful. But my local garden center is under 4 feet of snow.

So I guess a trip over there is probably not the best idea! Maybe when the snow melts (June, you said, or July?) you can go over and look around.

They bring us beauty for a while. Old buildings last longer and they have a beauty of their own too..

Oh, yes – I agree that there is a beauty in old buildings! They are my favorite subjects, which you have probably figured out.
