I want so badly for this place to be owned by a family named Luthier.

Oh, Melinda. This is wonderful. What scope. And light, and range of tones, etc., etc. Thank you for giving it to us huge; there’s so much to look at. I hope you have a chance to enter this one into competitions.

Thank you, Linda. I love this kind of open scenery. And when there’s a sign like this one – even better!

I think the rancher is named Martin.

Yes, it’s Martin Luthier. I know because it was on the Fender (of his truck).

In the middle of nowhere – an amazing panorama and an immense feel of space.

Very nice shot – makes me feel small.
According to panoramio, the owner is Phil Guitar and on a farm subsidy list there is a Phillip Guitar in Dickens County. Seems the name doesn’t need to be so fancy, or French, as Luthier, when plain old guitar is available.

Ah! The Research Department’s back! I guess I knew no one in this part of Texas would have a French name!

Well…. Bush is from the old french, but maybe that family is in a different part of Texas. Or have short memories.
