Urban Details: Trees
I was surprised, during this urban details exploration, how lovely the trunks of trees are. I realize that sounds silly, but if you lived where I do, it would make sense.
So, anyway, here are some trees, which I will identify as “trees, with leaves.” If anyone’s got identification that’s, say, accurate, I’d be happy to hear from them.

I don’t think I could live in a landscape without deciduous trees.

…and I tend to feel claustrophobic with too many trees around. We’re products of our geographies, and it’s clear (so to speak) that I grew up on the vast, treeless Great Plains.

Thanks, Mark. This trip to Atlanta posed a bit of a problem – there wasn’t anything old and/or falling down in the part of town I was in – so I had look at things differently. I almost said I had to “branch out” ….!

They look like they should be cradling something above – like fingers balancing a glass ball or something. Did you see giant glass balls in the foliage by any chance?

…and if you turn your monitor upside down (I’ll wait while you do) it looks like thin dancers with full skirts.
