Great Food
I think this shot is a stylistic sister of this one, with the lighting coming from outside, the placement of the door in the frame, and the general grittiness of the image.
You wouldn’t believe me if I said I planned it that way, would you?
No, of course you wouldn’t. You’re smart like that.
But in any case, this was a good place to stop for lunch. (I sat at the counter.)

I would stop here, too. Lunch and a photo.

I can’t remember what I had for lunch (maybe a tuna melt?) but it was good. The best part was the table at the back, where all the old men from the town sit to play dominoes.

Wow, you can sit on a photo like this for a couple of years? You must have the Patience of Job (my mother says this, I have no idea what it means).
I really like how it looks almost abandoned – as if you found an open backdoor and guiltily snuck in to take a picture. I hope this place lives on for another hundred years in the same style.

This is another case of a not-very-good shot that took me a while to figure out how to salvage.
This was the place where the locals ate – the tourists were at tea rooms or etc. There was a big table in back where all the old men were playing dominoes. I liked it there.

It sounds far too comfortable for tourists.
