A body of architectural elements
The only reason we even stopped in Ferndale was because, from a bit of a distance, we could see the spire of this church. And from the road, we could tell that the building had some lovely architectural elements. I am very fond of the pebbled texture of the glass, and the glimpse of stairs heading to the bell tower.

John – our day in Ferndale (which started in Eureka and included a stop in Petrolia) was one of the best vacations days we’ve had. I hope to be able to return to that part of California one of these days.

Nice details! And I like the framing too. I might need to play with this approach! I find myself stealing your ideas quite a bit, sometimes without thinking about it.

Thanks. It’s taken me a while to get this one to a point where I was happy with it. There were several problems with the original – converging lines, distortion from the lens, etc. – and it took me a while to learn all the ways to (attempt to) fix the problems.
You can steal all the ideas you want. And I won’t even mind if you think about it!
