Closed for the holiday
It was a holiday – Labor Day – but the Holiday Bowl didn’t seem to be available for celebrations. In fact, it looked as if it might have been unavailable for several holiday celebrations.

Could be it’s closed since those letters to the left spell ” rattlers” ! Wouldn’t see me there.

Then you SHOULD NEVER plan a trip to Sweetwater, Texas, which is the home of the famous rattlesnake roundup. Don’t go to their website http://www.rattlesnakeroundup.net) because there are a lot of snake photos.
But, all that aside, I’m glad you noticed that sign, which was actually what caught my eye in the first place. It looked like it was stuttering.

I think that RA TT LE RS sign is a secret reptile code indicating a huge snake convention which is why it is not open to other celebrants. Though they probably invited mice to their banquet.

This was one of the rare times I didn’t go around back, which may have been a good thing, as I would likely have interrupted the snakes’ preparation of their dinner-mice.
