Market

The side of Pike Place Market that faces toward the Sound it the best side. If you ask me. It’s got all those great windows, some of which reflect the mountains. And they’re operable, something that you never seen on commercial buildings in my part of the world. And the glimpses through them offer up more mysteries than anything else.

And, way down in the corner, that finger points the way.

(I am gone for a while, and will not be responding to comments right away. But make some anyway, if you feel inclined, and I’ll get back to you – it just won’t be right away.)

Orbs

These strings of glass balls were hanging in the sun at Pike Place Market. Maybe those ships in the port behind them worked some kind of subliminal message, but they reminded me of glass fishing floats.

In my early-morning wanderings at Pike Place Market, I spotted the tables at this restaurant all ready for the day’s customers. Every table was arranged exactly the same way – it was sort of a meditation.
