A two bulb fixture
Corrugated metal. Weathered wood. An sun-lit weed. Conduit nestled into the valleys of the metal. A peeling sign. A partially-boarded window.
And presiding over it all – a two bulb fixture. (To be correct, I guess it’s a ZERO bulb fixture, but you know what I mean.)

What’s with the sticker on the window? Looks out of place.

It doesn’t seem to match anything else, does it?

I’m kind of hoping it’s one of those “these premises are monitored 24 hours a day” stickers. 🙂

That would have been entertaining. For me, I mean. Not for the person stuck staring at the screen. I think the sticker is from a truck-rental company; that’s sort of boring, isn’t it?

I like this for all the reasons you mentioned and in spite of the fact there is no chair. the door looks like zebra stripes, too!

That is very open-minded of you to like this in spite of the terrible absence of a chair. Thanks for supporting me as I go through this experimental, non-chair phase.

Is this the house where ghouls live or used to live…? they do not need chairs do they? they levitate…
I think that I might like this one more in stark white and black – the white predominating, and no sepia tones. Just my humble impression.

I’ll give it try in “regular” black and white and see what I think!

Very nice. I like everything about it. Grasses included, they work very well with this shot. It is especially nice enlarged, so many details! That series of small junction boxes is nice too, though they do make me wonder what was going on. And what the heck does/did that sign say?

I looked back at some of the other shots of that building, but can’t make out very much of the sign. The first line says NO ——ING and the last word on the second line is VEHICLES. Past that – I have no idea. (Donna was with me when I took this; maybe she knows or has a better shot of the sign. I’ll ask her.)

This is fantastic, Melinda! Beautiful weathered details and that bit of nature is a perfect touch.

Thanks, Karen. It was nice that the weed and the light cooperated so nicely for my visit.
