Window Shopping, #2
I did a little more window shopping, this time in downtown Garden City, Kansas, where I found these half-clothed gentlemen. Well, actually they are half-clothed half-gentlemen, which if I recall the rules for multiplying fractions, would make them one-quarter gentlemen.
But at any rate, at least their waists will be comfortable.

Quarter gents? I think your math is getting ahead of you in this instance.
I had a distant relative who was hung, drawn and quartered by Henry VIII. I think part of him was probably ended up in this shape, but with a seriously uncomfortable waist.

Math and I have never been friends.
Sorry about your relative; it’s a shame that happened prior to the invention of comfort-fit waists. There’s a possibility, I guess, that if Henry VII been able to have a more comfortable waistline, history could have been very, very different….

Yes, I think that is true. Sadly, someone that invented elastic or other magical materials in those days might have been considered a witch, and been quartered.
