Change is constant

You’ve seen this place before. Here, and here, and here.

And it’s even in the header of the blog.

The place keeps changing. Not for the better, maybe, except for someone like me. You know how I am…

  1. Great interior – I like the touch of tone you put in to it. As you are in a more arid environment, is mold an issue for you at these southern locations? It is a huge problem for me here in the Northeast – I can smell the building well before i enter it.
I’m with you on the change here – just keeps getting better 🙂

    • Thanks.

Mold is almost never a problem around here: our average rainfall is less than 20″ per year, and it’s rarely humid enough to notice.

I do think there is a great deal of beauty in the way buildings decline, and I am happy to photograph it.

      • Mold: As I suspected – having traveled extensively in the West and Southwest.

Your images capture the feeling of being in these locations – I really have an issue with overly-HDR enhanced abandoned images – it removes the reality of the site. Keep up your good work!

      • I appreciate your saying my images “capture the feeling” of these places.

I don’t like those overly-HDR shots, either: never even give ’em a second look.

  2. I like the way you find something new each time you visit this place. I remember the window shot very well.
