No context

A brick wall. A rolled-up snow fence. A boarded-up door. I like how they look together, but without the context of the whole building, or even the town itself, it’s hard to know what it all means…

  1. It’s saying “I have a past, but no future…”

  2. The high step-up door or very low window is interesting, the rolled fence maybe telling us that it is okay to approach … ahh, but the bricks, what a furious visual sonata ! beautiful.

  3. The bricklayer really had issues. Perhaps was even seeing things (other than a hod full of bricks and mortar and a trowel). You can see the idea of an arch made him (surely a him) anxious – the brick laying gets more haphazard as it gets near the arch level, and takes a bunch of courses afterwards to settle down again. To me it is a nearly permanent mental health map. Poor guy.

  4. though out of the context of the whole building or the town, the image is still great for its textures and patterns…
thus it makes me now wonder about the whole building and town 🙂 🙂
