Outdoor kitchens are all the rage right now, at least according to home design shows on television. This one’s still in the development stage, I guess.

According to shows on HGTV, yes. Only takes a half hour to do the whole thing!

We like making fun of Tarek El Moussa — on the show, he always falls for the “We have multiple offers” line.
It’s not really something I care particularly about (home decor), but my wife likes it, so HGTV is on a lot at our house. I like the Property Brothers, Fixer Upper, and even Flip Or Flop.
(Speaking of Fixer Upper, is shiplap really that popular in Texas? Or is it that Joanna Gaines’s clients really like it?)

Our favorite is on those homebuyers shows when people just refuse to consider a house because of fatal flaws like paint colors! Because of course, that’s something that you can’t EVER change.
Our part of Texas: no shiplap. Anywhere. So I don’t know if it’s a Central Texas thing or a Joanna Gaines thing.
