Clouds, rectangles how can you go wrong. And those tanks are just rounded off rectangles!

And mostly horizontal rectangles, too!

Love the symmetries and lines in this. Also the sky, etc., etc., etc.

Thanks, Linda – this one helps prove the adage “the best camera is the one you have with you”: it’s an iPhone shot.

Thanks, Julie. That truck was going by just when I needed it to!

I like how the stripe on the pole in the foreground is lined up with the pavement marking. Nice use of wires too – I usually try to avoid them, but these ones work really well. The truck makes the shot though.

I liked the stripe/pole part, too. It took a bit of waiting to get just one truck in the shot – that highway’s pretty busy so I usually had multiple trucks – or parts of them, anyway – in the frame….

That parts of trucks in frame problem can be kind of annoying. Applies to ships as well.

And people. Someone – let’s just call him “Nathan Harvey” – leaned into a photo the other day and his blurry head looked like a giant thumb. It wasn’t a good look for him OR the photo!

But did you delete that one, or save it for future potential change of heart?

Nope. I kept it. You never know when a blurry thumb-head is just the thing you need in a photo.
