Obviously, it’s been a while since Burger Boy #2 served up lunch to anyone.

Absolutely terrific, Melinda. I remember these places well, when I was growing up these types of hangouts were quite common. Today they are mere memories. What a great photograph, it’s compelling and haunting, at the same time. Love the drama.

    • Thank you very much – unfortunately there are lots of these old drive-in burger places all over town that look a lot like this one. Thanks to McDonald’s and Burger King and etc. we’ve lost a lot of diversity in burger places, both in terms of food and of architecture.

On the other hand, though, it’s given people like me a lot of photographic choices as these old places close down and crumble away.
