December 19
Another street scene, but quite different from yesterday’s.
Sunday morning is the chasm between the sounds of last night’s karaoke at the Rock’n Horse Lounge and whatever is going to happen tomorrow at the farm bureau.

PS: Ehpem: check it out – glass blocks!

Glass blocks! Well done for capturing a few more.
I have some on my porch, I am using them to prob open the door of a wooden box to make a warmer shelter for a neighbour’s cat that lives outdoors all year around. Useful things 🙂
That water tower looks like it is just waiting to douse any conflagration that may arise between (bad) singing and banking – as if it really just wants an excuse to send a torrential flood scouring through that small canyon. Good thing you got out of there quickly.

It WAS a narrow escape from this town, though how you guessed that from the shot is beyond me. My writing partner and I were on our way to a writing retreat in South Dakota and stopped here for breakfast at the only place that was open on a Sunday morning. We – brace yourself for this! – took someone’s regular table. It was uncomfortable and we got back on the road as quickly as possible!

Oh dear! The travails of small town life. At least no one patted their underarm bulge and asked you to move to the counter stools.
