The is the same building as the rectangle-filled place from Sunday, only closer. And with fewer rectangles. Although I think I should get rectangle credit for the shape of the painted-out graffiti.
From a photographic standpoint, it’s nice that whoever painted over the graffiti didn’t even TRY to match the color of the brick. But from an aesthetic standpoint, maybe they should have?
True story: just as I was writing this post, I got an email from the Utne Reader, with a link to an article about green graffiti. Obviously this trend has yet to arrive in Lubbock….

Painting over in a contrasting color only makes your photos even more interesting. Keeps us on lour toes.
I saw the article about the green graffiti. I thought it was a Chia Pet for walls.

I liked the green graffiti a lot; too bad our climate is too arid for it work down here. When I lived in New Orleans, we had green stuff growing on the sidewalk but it wasn’t attractive; I never thought about trimming it up to spell something or look like something. I could have STARTED green graffiti, if I’d only known.

Actually, that would be two rectangle credits. And if you get one for reach brick, well, this is nothing but solid rectangles one way or another. And yet, somehow, you keep it simple. Nice!

Perhaps I kept it simple because I am simple? Just a theory – feel free to disagree. In fact, PLEASE disagree.
