Even if someone has a misplaced desire to express themselves through graffiti, it takes a lot of nerve to do something like this in front of a camera. Still, the end result is very photogenic.

Thanks. This was one of the shots where my family rolled their eyes when I pulled out the camera.
They do that a lot.

Look at all the rectangles where they have over-painted graffiti! That camera must not be monitored. Probably they hire a woman painter to clean up, a babe, and monitor her work. That way they can tell the client – oh yes, we monitor that camera xx% of the week.

There DOES seem to be a lot of graffiti on that wall – given that there is a camera and everything. Your “babe” theory is probably right! (Or – it’s not a camera at all, but just the housing. I can neither confirm nor deny that I have previous work experience in the – let’s just call it “transit industry” – where that very idea was discussed.)

I love deniable quotes. Did you ever run for political office? If not, maybe you should consider it.

Oh, no – no political-office-running for me. I have a major flaw which renders me un-electable; it has to do with my particular political…uh…persuasion. If you get my drift….

Well, us foreigners have our preconceived but somehow highly accurate notions about Texans, and Texas. One of them is there no water left in any of your rivers or other waterways. So I am thinking drifting is a romantic notion from the past, dreamed of while sitting in stationary canoes stranded in dry creek beds.

Stranded in drifts of sand, perhaps?

I can see why you live there. It has everything to offer, and more. Have you photographed there? It looks like there might be something along your lines, unless it is too highly primped (or is that pimped?) for the tourist market.

My Thought Process:
1. So, a reply from Ephem. That requires a response.
2. Egypt? What do I know about Egypt that would be funny, quirky and/or thought-provoking.
(My thought process is very articulate.)
3. I wonder if there’s a town in Texas called “Egypt.”
(Googling.)
4. Well, I’ll be damned. There IS a town called Egypt.
(Paste link into comment.)
(Until today, I’d never heard of the place. I suppose I should check it out one of these days….)

I enjoy your grammar comments almost as much as your photographs. Thanks for the ironic quotation marks!

Linda – glad you enjoyed the quotation marks, and the grammar comments. I tend to crack myself up, so it’s always nice to know that someone else is amused, too!
