It all falls down
Santa Rosa’s got three cemeteries – Evergreen Cemetery, out on the north side of town; San Jose Cemetery, down a narrow road on the east part of town; and the very old Saint Rose of Lima cemetery.
That’s where what’s left of a chapel stands guard over graves and weeds as the plaster falls away from the stone walls bit by bit.

It all falls down – eventually – or actually quite soon by the look of this.

The first time I saw this place was about five years ago, and it doesn’t look like it’s changed much. But one of these days, it’ll be just a pile of rocks.

Interesting how it looks like there is very clean glass in the window opening. I think it is something to do with the inner darker window surround that looks like a reflection, and the slightly different tone to the sky than above the wall. Nice effect.

I never noticed that effect, until you mentioned it. But it does look like glass up there! I’d better go back and check to make sure what I actually saw….
